Turner's Service Centre was originally started in January, 1955 in Davidson Street Deniliquin by Ron Turner (Snr).
The original business included welding repairs as part of the Service Station. Around 1960 Ron was awarded the Dealership of John Shearer farm equipment; this progressed in the ensuing years to include other agencies such as Deutz Fahr, Gibbons Rawlings, and other farm equipment companies. As a result of our manufacturing side growing rapidly it was decided to shed the agencies to concentrate solely on our core business.
Ron (Jnr) joined his father in 1973 and sister Karen O'Brien started in the office in 1978.
Ron (Snr) saw the need for a specific type of levelling harrow and so he set about designing and manufacturing the spring tyne levelling harrows which made their debut on the market in 1980. The harrows gained Ron an Award at the Wimmera Field Days. The harrows proved to be so successful that the need for bigger premises became paramount; hence the move to Augustus Street in 1989. With the move also came the change of trading name to Turner Harrows Pty Ltd (commonly referred to as Turners).
Our expertise in manufacturing Chaser Bins and Mother Bins, designed for the wheat and rice industry, has grown to the extent that we have sold bins as far north as Moree, south into Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
The fundamental principal of our company is the dedication to quality and service for an ever widening clientele.
